YIN YOGA
LED BY COLE
Yin Yoga, contrary to Yang Yoga (hatha and power) is a slow, meditative, passive style of yoga focused on holding seated and lying postures for long periods of time (from one to six minutes) with the use of blocks, bolsters, towels and straps.
It’s designed to stress various connective tissues of your body to create space and strength in your joints. By increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility, Yin is the perfect complimentary class to our Pilates & Moove Groove classes.
This practice is safe for all levels and those recovering from injury.
I find that in the stillness of practicing yin yoga, we have the opportunity to calm our every day chaotic thoughts and gain the ability to become proactive in our every day lives.
Through the practice of strengthening our joints and improving the health of our fascia, we tap into the foundation of youth.
